Our home-school group has a chess club that Josiah participates in. Today there was a tournament at a local jr. high school. Each student played 5 matches in their age group. Josiah was in the 3rd/4th grade group and won his first 3 matches, lost #4, and won the fifth. He played some difficult matches, but persevered. At the end of the day he took 3rd place in his group! Of the 4 boys from his club, 2 others, Timothy and Daniel, both placed 1st in their respective age groups! Way to go Josiah and way to go Timothy and Daniel!
